Approaching Ambleside from the south, go straight ahead at the traffic lights at Waterhead (head of Lake Windermere) and continue till you see BP service Station on your right. Here you have to turn left into Wansfell Road. As soon as you enter Wansfell Road, take the first small turning to the right. This will bring you to the rear garden entrance and parking area of Wordsworths.
From the north, follow the one-way road system through the town. As the road narrows and then becomes two lanes, this is Lake Road. Get in the right-hand lane and Wordsworths is on your right.
